The Plan for Neighbourhoods is Wrexham City Board's 10-year vision for the Wrexham submission to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. It follows the structure of the UK Government guidance and is formed around a high-level vision and initial 4-year Investment Plan. The Plan is the business case to secure the investment available from the UK Government. As such, it sets out the 'strategic case for change', which identifies the challenges that Wrexham faces and the opportunities to address them, using the funding available.
The Wrexham Plan for Neighbourhoods was submitted on Friday 24th October, a month earlier than the UK government deadline of 28thNovember. This has been to allow time for the Board to mobilise and move from the planning to delivery phases between now and April 2026.
*It is possible that the UK Government may seek clarifications or amendments to this version of the Plan but once approved, it will then become the Regeneration Plan for Wrexham.
